A Partial Reconstruction Method for SAR Altimeter Coastal Waveforms Based on Adaptive Threshold Judgment

Due to land contamination and human activities, the sea surface height (SSH) data retrieved from altimeter coastal waveforms have poor precision cannot provide effective information for various tasks. The along-track high-resolution characteristic of new synthetic aperture radar (SAR) makes retracking methods traditional difficult apply. This study proposes a partial reconstruction method SAR waveforms. By making adaptive threshold judgments model matching errors repairing contaminated based on nearest linear prediction, success rate retrieval SSH are significantly improved. experimental areas Sentinel-3B satellite processed. results indicate that mean proportion waveform quality improvement brought by is 80.30%, reconstructed 85.60%, increasing percentage 30.98%. noise levels different calculated evaluate processing precision. It shown 20 Hz precisions original 12.75 cm 6.32 cm, respectively, corresponding 1 2.85 1.41 respectively. validate proposed has improved factor two, comparison with (MSS) further verify this conclusion.
